MarkAny: convert files to and from Markdown
Markdown is easy to write and awkward to get into. PDFs, slide decks, spreadsheets, and scanned pages do not start as Markdown, and once your notes are in Markdown you often need them back in Word, PDF, or HTML. MarkAny is a converter for that round trip.
It batch-converts PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, EPUB, and images into structured Markdown, and it uses OCR when the source is a picture or a scan rather than selectable text. It also exports Markdown back out to common formats, so a file does not have to stay in one ecosystem.
That is useful if you keep research, docs, or course notes in Markdown and your inputs arrive as office files. Batch conversion matters more than a one-off paste when you have a folder of sources instead of a single page. I would still spot-check tables, headings, and anything that came through OCR before treating the Markdown as final.
The official site is MarkAny.
